Money conversations,
held with care
Structured programmes for Malaysian households who want to understand their finances more clearly — without pressure or sales.
Our programmes
Each programme is paced to suit the household, not a schedule. We work around real lives.
Kitchen-Table Budget Conversations
A two-session programme for households — parents with adult children, couples, or siblings — who want a calm conversation about shared expenses and saving habits.
- Two sessions at your home or our studio
- Listening-first facilitation approach
- Simple shared document reviewed together
Understanding Household Insurance
Four sessions for adults with current insurance arrangements who want to read their policies more confidently before renewal or any changes.
- Covers life, medical, motor, home policies
- No product recommendations — pure education
- Learn to read benefits schedules clearly
Three-Generation Household Review
A three-month engagement for households where two or three generations share financial responsibilities and want to discuss them carefully over time.
- Covers eldercare, succession, and shared costs
- Paced to allow family consultation between sessions
- Written summary provided at close
What makes our approach different
No products, ever
We do not sell insurance, investments, or financial products. Our income comes only from programme fees.
At your pace, in your space
Sessions can be held at your home, at the studio, or over a scheduled call — wherever you feel most at ease.
Listening before advising
Our first session in every programme is devoted to understanding your household's existing thinking, not prescribing solutions.
Household, not individual
We work with the household as a unit — parents, partners, children — so conversations happen together rather than in separate rooms.
Written summaries you keep
Longer engagements close with a written summary the family retains — not a sales report, but a record of what was discussed and agreed.
Confidential by design
Everything discussed in sessions stays within the household. We do not share details with third parties or product providers.
Would a conversation be worthwhile?
There is no obligation in reaching out. If you would like to understand what a programme looks like before committing, we are glad to have a brief call first.

Common questions
Who are these programmes for?
Our programmes are designed for households — that might mean a couple managing shared finances, adult children and their parents discussing how costs are divided under one roof, or siblings who have taken on joint financial responsibilities. You do not need any prior financial knowledge to join.
Do you sell insurance or investment products?
No. Kinfolk Ledger is an education provider only. We do not hold a financial advisory licence, and we do not earn commission from any product. Our fees come entirely from programme enrolments.
Where do sessions take place?
Most households prefer to hold sessions at their own home, which is perfectly fine. We can also meet at our studio in Damansara Uptown or, for some programmes, conduct sessions over a scheduled video call. We will discuss what works best when you first get in touch.
How long does a programme take?
It depends on the programme. Budget Conversations spans two sessions roughly a fortnight apart. The Insurance programme involves four sessions over four to six weeks. The Three-Generation Review runs across three months, with sessions spaced to allow for reflection between meetings.
Is what we discuss kept private?
Yes. Session content is treated with full discretion and is not shared with product providers, third parties, or anyone outside the household. The written summary produced at the end of longer engagements belongs to the family.
What happens if one family member is reluctant to join?
That is quite normal. We are happy to begin a session with whoever is ready, and sometimes that opens the door for others. We do not push anyone to participate before they feel comfortable.
